I am originally from Scotland. After a varied career, I decided to try make my childhood dream come true and be a writer. Now I have an MFA from Georgia College, a PhD from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and my first full length poetry collection, We Know Each Other By Our Wounds, is out in November 2020 from Animal Heart Press. My poems have also appeared in multiple publications and my chapbook, Breakfast for the Birds, came out from Finishing Line Press in 2017. I am a poet and a teacher . . . and I love an audience.
